1 ounce bottles of fragrance that have just been filled; a behind the scenes look at Callio Fragrance.

The truth about all natural

Today I'm writing about something that is important to anyone who buys fragrance, perfume or candles, and thinks they are getting all natural product and the scent is fresh linen or jelly bean. You are not getting an all natural product; this is a fact, pure and simple.

I am not writing this to bash other companies; I don't believe in that, but I do believe in truth when it comes to telling people what your products are made of. I don't know if these companies truly do not understand that there is no such thing as a tree that grows a fresh linen fragrance or that you can extract oils from a jelly bean to make an oil but it's true. I know I keep mentioning jelly beans and the truth is I just saw an ad for a product that claims to make all natural products with a jelly bean fragrance and now I have a craving for jelly beans.

The truth is essential oils are wonderful but you must use caution with them and the fact is what we know as a rose scent for example is very different from what a rose essential oil smells like. There are also few scent options availabe with essential oils and prices will vary every season due to weather and other factors.

We use a combination of essential oils and fragrance oils to create our scents and have always been very transparent about that yet I constantly have to correct people about this. I believe in transparency especially in business and always will.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk :)
